The challenge

As a medical supply company with over 130 years in the healthcare industry, Carstens knows the importance of adaptability. But as the business grew, their custom-built ERP proved to be anything but adaptable. Every upgrade came with a hefty price tag—and its own set of time-consuming hurdles. Frustrated by the limitations and mounting expenses, they began searching for a solution with more adaptability and an out-of-the-box EDI integration. The solution

Ready to modernize their ERP, the Carstens team decided to move from Dynamics GP to Acumatica, with EDI integration from SPS. This change allowed them to streamline data flow and integrate trading partner data directly into their new ERP without needing to access separate portals. They automated processes across the board, which saved time and cut operating costs. Carstens worked closely with SPS, Acumatica and their Acumatica VAR to fully onboard every trading partner before the scheduled go-live date, allowing the business to achieve immediate efficiency.
